High Tor Players will be returning to the Hall on 23 November performing Alan Ayckbourn’s ‘Absent Friends’.
The Players tell us:
”The play is an acclaimed real time tragi-comedy classic. The story line sees Colin returning to a circle of old friends who are wondering how best they can break some bad news to him about his fiance.
‘They decide to hold a tea party for him. His friends are tangled together with a mixture of business and extra-marital problems and the tensions between them erupt before Colin arrives.
”Colin enters the fray totally happy and oblivious to what is going on as his friends relationships reach breaking point while they try to act normal around him. Can the circle of friends survive this chaotic tea party?”
The Players will be bringing Colin and his friends to the Hall on Thursday 23 November with the play starting at 7.30pm.
Doors open at 7pm and the bar will be open both before the performance and during the interval. For tickets please contact 01629 733407 or email: email@example.com
There will also be performances of Absent Friends at Bakewell (24 Nov) and Darley Dale (25). Please see the High Tor Players website for ticket details.
