Rooms are hired by the hour, our price list can be viewed below. However, we do offer block booking packages for events such weddings and parties. Please contact us for further details.

Additional Hire:

Fabric/Amber - Sound System and/or Projector £15 up to 4 hours or £25 for 4 to 8 hours.

Amber Hall Theatre Lighting £10.00 per hour.

Our reception opening hours vary, although we try to open at least 4 days per week. Please contact us before making a visit. 

If you would like to come to view our rooms and facilities please get in touch. If you are unable to make it during office opening times, we do take appointments for evening and Saturday viewings when possible.  

Confirming your booking

Booking Form: Once we've checked that the date/s you want to book are available, we will send you a link so you can fill in our booking form and sign our terms and conditions online. We will confirm the total cost of your booking once we know your requirements as per your booking form.

Deposit: We usually request a deposit of £20 / £50 for a single day booking. For a multiple day or wedding booking we require £100. However this can very with each event. 

Security Bond: Please be aware that we charge a refundable bond of £100 for all evening parties, this is payable before collection of your keys. An additional bond is required for weekend events and where hirers provide their own alcohol. 

We hold provisional bookings for 14 days to allow you to get the booking form back to us and pay the deposit. If the deposit and booking form is not returned within 14 days, the dates/times shall be made available to other hirers.

Payment methods

Accepted methods of payment for Parish Hall hire:

  • Cash
  • Card payments (additional charge for credit card transactions)
  • Cheques payable to: Ashover Parish Hall (address below)
  • Online payments.

Please use your full name as a reference and let us know you have made the payment so we can check we've received it.

Paying the remaining balance

The remaining balance will be invoiced via email and payment in full is required no later than two weeks prior to your date of hire, unless by prior arrangement (local authorities, charities). 

Access to the hall for your booking

Our staff are not always on site. Our reception opening hours vary, but we are usually open 4 days per week - you can check our opening hours page where we post opening times each week. Please contact us to arrange a suitable time to visit the hall (ideally a few days before the booking) to collect a key. We will meet you to explain how to use the alarm system and clarify emergency procedures such as fire exits. Don't worry - it's all very simple!
